So It Begins

Greetings, fellow humans!

Welcome to the beginning of something new. I am still mulling over what content will be included, but rest assured that it will be a splendid potpourri of daily entries with varying subjects, but hopefully some continuity. I will probably attempt to include something musical each day. Hopefully it will be worthy of reading.

Today's track review: Blind Pilot - "One Red Thread"
Discovered this little gem on Paste the other day and fell victim to its immediate charms. It seems that Blind Pilot is your run-of-the-mill indie folk band at first listen, but they have something working for them that the slew of similar bands do not. It is hard to pinpoint what that quality it, but have a listen for yourself, you will not regret it. Most interesting to me in this track is their use of tempo, wherein the verse movements have a more upbeat, and frankly quite catchy, feel while the chorus or refrain section has a drastically slower tempo, is more complex and is probably something you would not find yourself singing along to later in the day. Anyway, check it out : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMyVFTwelwo
The Next Step: Just go ahead and buy the whole album 3 Rounds And A Sound, it will keep you satisfied until the end of fall, I guarantee it.

Cheers, fair world,

G. Alan Busch Jr.
